"Simply works."
User's Manual and Technical Reference are Windows HTML Help files, whose content Windows will block by default when downloaded from the Internet. To view them, save them to disk, right click the file and choose (left click) Properties. Under security click the [Unblock] button to unblock the content. Then when you double click the file it should display normally.
Test Drive the Program
After downloading and installing the East Ridges client program (click the Install tab at right) you can try it out by logging on to a test server at:
eastridges.no-ip.org\SQLEXPRESS,8000
Then login as FirstUser1 with the password FirstUser. You will need the test license key which you can download from this site (Right-click "test license key" and save it somewhere on your computer. When Mountain Meadow asks you to locate the license key, just point to that location..).
If you want to create your own instance of code and server:
We have moved the code repository to SourceForge.net. The source code is at http://sourceforge.net/projects/mountainmeadow/ . This is in a SubVersion respository, as detailed under the [Develop] tab under the Mountain Meadow EMR heading. (Caution, there may be a Develop tab at the top of the SourceForge page, but the address of the code repository is under the Develop tab UNDER the Mountain Meadow EMR heading.) The way I access the code is through Tortoise SVN (http://tortoisesvn.net/) If you download the code, create a folder c:\MountainMeadow3 to checkout the code into, then view readme.txt there.
The database is in the code respository, with instructions in the file MountainMeadow3\Database\ReadMe.txt
The code at sourceforge is the very latest code, which may be out of sync with the database. The repository documentation (beginning with the readme.text file) describes how to apply the latest database changes to your local database.
(* notice Windows may require you to unblock the help files before they will display)
